Peach Days 2013

Peach Days Parade, junior parades seeking entries

As summer advances, plans for the annual Peach Days celebrations are well underway. That includes preparations for the parade.

Peach Days Parade
“Harvesting Fun” is the theme for this year’s Peach Days Parade and applications are now available at www.peachdays.com. The Chamber of Commerce will not be mailing applications to previous participants and it is asked that participants download their applications from the website.
Decorated floats will be judged and cash prizes will be awarded for float entries. Additionally, five awards will be given. Those awards are: Sweepstakes, Most Peachy, Best Commercial, Chairman’s Choice and Most Creative and Imaginative. Plaques and trophies will be given at the parade. Cash awards will be mailed to winning entries after Peach Days.
As this is one of the largest parades in Utah, space and time is limited. Commercial entries are limited to one vehicle per entry. The way around this is to submit additional applications and entry fees.
This year’s Peach Days parade will take place Saturday, September 7, at 10 a.m.
The application deadline is August 16. Entries with small children are encouraged to enter the Junior Parade on Friday evening. For additional information, please call the Chamber of Commerce at 435-723-3931.

Jr. Peach Days Parade
The Junior Parade will be held on Friday, September 6, at 6 p.m. Anything from music, bikes, dancers, bands, floats, walkers, and flatbeds or trailers filled with children are welcome.
Those interested in participating should download an application at www.peachdays.com or pick up an application from the Chamber of Commerce office at 6 North Main Street.
Deadline for applications is August 29.
